Drilling will continue to be the main focus for exploration on the Scottie Gold Mine Project with 12,500 metres planned for the 2021 field season.
Drilling in 2019-2020 confirmed that the Scottie Gold Mine was neither mined out or drilled off, and that mineralization remains wide open. Recent drilling has been successful in defining high-grade ore-shoots at the historic mine and drilling in 2021 will continue to step out at depth and along strike.
Select 2019-2020 Scottie Mine Area Drill Results:
11.7 g/t gold and 5.83 g/t silver over 10.95 m (M Zone – SR19-13)
10.7 g/t gold and 5.38 g/t silver over 5.70m (M Zone – SR20-51)
12.6 g/t gold and 4.43 g/t silver over 5.22 m (M Zone – SR20-52)
109.4 g/t gold and 32.4 g/t silver over 2.53m (O Zone – SR20-27)
10.7 g/t gold and 31.2 g/t silver over 2.77 m (O Zone – SR20-65)
At the Blueberry Zone drilling in 2019-2020 resulted in multiple intercepts across a N-S trending mineralizing system, defining a near surface zone that is much wider than pursued in previous exploration models. The newly defined trend remains open along strike and at depth, with extensive surface work establishing a zone that exceeds 800 metres in strike length. The 2021 drilling planned for the Blueberry Zone includes substantial drill step outs (>200 m) along strike to test the continuity of the N-S structure along with testing the vertical extent of successful intercepts from 2019-2020.
Select 2019-2020 Blueberry Drill Results:
7.44 g/t gold over 34.78m (SR19-20)
22.3 g/t gold over 6.10 m (SR20-40)
8.96 g/t gold over 13.68 m (SR20-48)
10.2 g/t gold over 3.21 m (SR20-64)
In 2020, the maiden drill program took place at the Domino Zone after first pass surficial sampling in 2019 returned 9 samples over 5 g/t gold, including a 5.3 m long chip sample averaging 10.5 g/t gold, with the highest-grade grab sample grading 536 g/t gold and 129 g/t silver. Drilling confirmed that gold mineralization continues at depth with numerous high-grade intervals. Drilling in 2021 will follow up on the gold-bearing structures intersected in 2020 as well as along strike to the west where surface sampling in 2020 produced results up to 81.7 g/t gold with coincident conductivity high and resistivity low geophysical anomalies.
Select 2020 Domino Drill Results:
19.9 g/t gold and 71.6 g/t silver over 0.94 metres (SR20-29)
13.4 g/t gold and 8.11 g/t silver over 1.07 metres (SR20-31)
12.4 g/t gold and 8.7 g/t silver over 2.69 metres (SR20-37)
Exploratory drilling is also planned on targets proximal to the Scottie Gold Mine area that have been advanced by recent surficial work. The highest priority of these is the C Zone target, located 1.5 kilometres northeast of the O Zone, where chip sampling in 2020 returned 26.21 g/t Au over 7.0 metres.
Scottie Resources Corp. has contracted Dias Geophysical to conduct a 3D Induced Polarity (IP) survey over the Domino and Blueberry areas. The objective of this survey is to identify mineralized structures along strike and at depth in order to delineate drill targets and refine current geological models.
Ground-based Horizontal Loop Electromagnetic (HLEM) surveys are also planned on the Scottie Gold Mine Project to test areas covered by glaciers or overburden along strike from known mineralized shear zones.
Mapping and Prospecting:
Scottie Resources’ geologists will continue mapping and sampling high-grade mineralized areas discovered during the 2019-2020 field seasons to advance targets to a drill-ready state. Prospecting will also continue in ice-loss areas that have never been examined during previous exploration programs.
